You can use your activation of Stitchmastery on more than one machine, or can deactivate one activation if you need to replace a device.
You can either move your files onto an external hard-drive or cloud-based storage and then add to your new device, or you can download the software direct from our website. If you do this, you will need to copy your user stitch libraries and stylesheets from your original device onto the new device and import them.
To move a stitch library
First of all find the user stitch library file on your original machine. It is a file with a .smlib file extension. If you are not sure where it is go to Preferences > Stitchmastery > Stitch Libraries > User Libraries and open the user library as if to edit it. In the Edit Stitch Library dialog the name and location of the file is displayed in the box with the File label.
Move the .smlib file to your chosen location on your new machine. Then go to Preferences > Stitch Libraries > User Libraries and select Import. User the Browse button to find and select the .smlib file and then ok to import it.
To move a stylesheet
You will first need to export your stylesheet. Text templates and written preferences can be exported from Preferences > Stitchmastery > Templates, and use the Export button at the bottom of the dialog. Choose a location to save into that you will be able to find easily.
Then you can copy the .epf file/s via a hard-drive/pen-drive or an online storage service, or email. Save to an easily-remembered location on your new machine, open Preferences in Stitchmastery, open the Templates section and use the Import button to import them.
