Flipping stitch symbols or partial colouring of background of symbols
I don't think this is something that can be done yet. I'm trying to a cable pattern and I'd like to flip some of the symbols to indicate where the purl stitches are coming from. Or even partially colour a symbol.
I don't know if this is something that can already be done or if it would be something to be considered to be possible

Hello,
At the moment it's not possible to add colour to part of a symbol, but it has been requested.
For flipping symbols, there a couple of things which might help -
- there is a flip tool - https://stitchmastery.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007742377-Using-the-Flip-Tools - for cable stitches, it will insert the mirror version of the stitch, which might not be exactly what you're looking for
- in the stitch libraries symbol sets (when you are editing the appearance of a stitch/customising a new stitch) there does tend to be the opposite version of most symbols available, though not for every one. A flip option could be handy in that tool, I will pass the suggestion on. If you haven't customised stitches before, you can learn about doing that here -https://stitchmastery.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010018497-Editing-a-user-stitch-library-customising-stitches-and-setting-library-as-active-
I'm not sure if either of those routes achieve what you're looking for? If you have a specific stitch in mind and could make a doodle of what you'd like it to look like, perhaps you could reply here or email me hannah@stitchmastery.com and I'll have a look. Cathy (our developer) might also be able to create the stitch/es for you and add them to your library if I can't work out a way of making them in the current software.
