Text cut off in exported key
I'm using MacOS Monterey 12.7.6 in case that's relevant, and the latest version of Stitchmastery.
Whatever file format or layout I choose for exporting the key, and whether or not I export it alone or in combination with the chart, the ends of the key text lines are cut off.
I've got line breaks within my key text to shorten the line length - doesn't make any difference where I put those line breaks, the cut off moves with it.
It happens in both single and 2-column format.
I've tried changing the width of the exported image to 105%, makes no difference.
Is anyone else experiencing that or got any idea how to fix it?
At the moment the only way I can export the key is to screenshot it!

It is a mismatch with the calculation of the length of text to be displayed on the screen and the actually rendering on the screen. The issue is in one if the software libraries that Stitchmastery is built on. I have tried multiple times to code a work around that can always correctly display the text regardless of operating system, font etc but I have found only one solution that is 100% reliable.
This solution is to add spaces to the text to trick the software into thinking that the text is longer than it really is. The number of spaces to add depends on the text, font etc. If you are using line breaks then the spaces need to be added to the end of each line.
It's not ideal but Cathy has tried multiple times to fix it once and for all, but the 'add spaces' solution is the only one that works and doesn't mess something else up.Comment actions -
Hello StitchMastery,
I am having the same issue with the text in the Key being cut off. I am using a MAC on Ventura 13.6.2. I am also having to take screenshot of the Key while in the graphing mode of Stitchmastery, in order to have the Key without the text missing.
Please would you let me know what the solution is?
Thank you.
